I know-I have been slacking big time posting here! Sorry. The truth is, I did not keep up with my niche blogs so well. I wrote a few posts for my one blog and did no social bookmarking at all. I do keep up with my personal blog but even that has been suffering. It is not that I didn't want to keep up with everything--life just got in the way. It is no excuse and I am so on top of it now. I just renewed my domains and I am writing posts for my one site that I think has HUGE potential.
And since I mentioned writing, here is one big reason I have not been promoting my own blogs/sites...because I have been writing content for others! lol I have always loved to write. I never made any money at it though because I never knew how to or that I could. While over at The Niche Blogger, I learned about article marketing and the power of it. I also learned that lots of people do not like writing their own content. That is what I enjoy about niche blogging! So I started out writing a few articles for companies that provide content for people who do not like or don't have time to write their own. I started making decent money doing it too. I love it!
After jumping back on the niche blogging bandwagon, I read stories about fellow members who are doing awesome because they kept up with their blogs/sites. This is awesome. They are all making money because they stuck with the program. They did all the work up front and got their sites going. Now most of them have their niche blogs on auto pilot and they are earning everyday--without doing anything at all! How cool is that? So I could probably be earning like them without much effort if I would have stuck to the program. It works-I see it. So my problem is, I 've lost a lot of time by not keeping up with my sites. But, I can't dwell on it, I just need to take action.
So I am off to work on my one site and do some promotion for it. It will be interesting to see if the traffic picks up by doing a little social bookmarking. I will be sure to update it here, and soon.

Promoting Niche blogs
I am embarrassed to post this but I have to. This is all part of it-the good, the bad and the ugly get posted. After I wrote my last post-I did not write the Ezine articles or the Squidoo lenses I said I was going to do. I instead thought up this awesome domain name and thought that this was going to be "thee site". So I paid the 10 bucks and started the site. It is a "niche" I know a lot about. I mean I work 80+ hours a week doing it for a living so I should have no shortage in info to post! So I got excited-posted a few posts and...that was it. I never promoted it. I have a hard time promoting these things-I don't know why. I wonder if anyone has the same problem. I love to write and I love to do research but I hate promoting or trying to sell anything!
So is this going to doom me as a niche blogger? I certainly need to get on the ball. I am motivated to make money but for some reason I can't spit out 1 promotional article! I don't know if I should post under a pen name or use my real name. A little thing like that stumps me. I also am not too happy with how I started my niche blogs. I started with a generic domain name and created 2 blogs out of subdomains off that name but I don't know if it looks professional or if that even matters. I get very little traffic to them but write pretty good content for them. I am stumped. I am wondering if they do have a chance to make it but don't because I am just not "getting them out there". OK, no more playing around-I am going to write an article for each niche blog and see if that helps at all. I only have a few. If I see no difference in a few months-well then I am screwing up somewhere else. I will keep you posted!

Can you really make money Niche Blogging?
I have not made one penny since my last update! It has gotten to the point that I log into my adsense account every single day just for hope-not one click! I go on the forums and see that others are consistently making at least $1 a day per blog/site and some a lot more. These are people that began with me! Why am I not making any money??? These are the only things I can think of...
- I don't social blog-I don't visit others and leave comments just to leave comments. I do however leave comments whenever I enjoy reading someones post. I am not saying everyone does this but I see it a lot. Am I suppose to do this to get traffic? I leave the comments because I truly mean them-not to get my link out there.
- I am not promoting enough. I have not written one Ezine article. I did do a Squidoo page BUT it was not even related to my blog. Maybe it is the non-promotion? I do write posts on my sites-at least 300 words each. I actually like doing that.
- My 1 site is my personal site on it's own domain but my 2 niche sites are on subdomains-can that be the problem? What's so wrong with subdomains?
- I obsess with spelling, grammar and maybe I give the reader too much info that they get what they need just by reading my site?
- I am constantly changing my themes around thinking maybe a new look will help?
- I am reading other peoples success stories again to motivate myself because I feel like maybe just maybe there is hope for me doing this. I want to do this. How are they so successful?
What is my plan of attack?
- First off, I always wanted to do a site with info on the field I myself actually work in and to my surprise, I looked it up and it seems to be a pretty hot niche. I could not believe I found a very good domain to go with it too. So, I took $10 out of my Paypal and bought it. I am really going to hit that site hard! It is writing about something I really like and what I know about.
- I applied for and started putting Kontera Text links on all my blogs and sites. So far I have a total of 4 self hosted sites.
- I "spruced" up my subdomains and did some keyword research on them and I am going to see if I can get those rolling. I have had both since September already.
- Since I can't afford any more domain names right now, I started a free blogger blog on a very good topic right now just to see what happens with it. I would be so happy just to get some kind of activity on any of my sites.
